recent session - 11 month old (part I)

a returning client who i photographed when she was just 6 months old. i absolutely love it when clients call on me again to photograph their children. that to me is one of the best compliments i can ever receive about my work.

we didn't get to finish the session but i gave them a part II to be set sometime in september. i can't wait to capture more of this little angel :)

Holiday Cards 2008

they're here...introducing 2008 Holiday Cards!!!

im so excited bec they're just too cute and fun! plus some designs from the new collection have matching backs too instead of plain white.

each card design is completely customizable meaning you can practically change all the colors of the card elements (trees, flowers, snowflakes, dots, backgrounds etc), fonts, text/greetings and the image, of course. you can even remove the card elements and use for other occasions.

all these cards come in 5x7 bi-fold with a blank inside for your own personal greetings. SOLD IN SETS OF 24 @ $60.00 per set and available in REGULAR or LINEN paper. white envelopes are included. shipping and handling is $5.00. available to US addresses only.

oh and some of the designs can also be used for other occasion cards (thank you's, save the dates, birthdays, announcements, seniors etc...) please do not hesitate to let me know!

few changes

hi and i hope everyone's having a good week so far. just wanted to quickly let everyone know of a few changes i have effective september, 2008.

PROOFING GALLERIES
- as you may well know, your investment includes an online proofing gallery that will be active for 30 days. most of you know that i have kept your proofs online for much longer than that. i do understand how much time it takes to select your favorite photos however there are times when i need to clear up space on my website bec having too many proofs up there i notice slows down traffic on my website. therefore i will begin enforcing this with all sessions from here on in. your proofs will be available for 30 days after i send you an email that your proofs are available. if you are a past client with an existing proofing gallery online, it will be active only until September 30th, 2008. a request can be sent to re-upload your photos for an additional 14 days for $25.00

BOOKING SESSIONS
please take note that your session date cannot be reserved unless you confirm within 5 days of initial contact with me. if i dont get email confirmation from you, i cannot block off that date and therefore will be open to other interested clients.

HOLIDAY CARDS
the "ber" months are coming which means the holiday season is nearing. once again im offering holiday cards that you can send to family and friends. i will also be unveiling new designs in addition to last year's classic designs. holiday cards are available in 5x7 bi-fold with a blank inside page. white envelopes included.

recent session - family of 4

a family session held in Central Park, NYC. tons of beautiful captures here that once again, i cant help but post a lot!!!

a beautiful sunday in NYC spent with such a nice and sweet family...mom booked me a few days before...thanks so much for squeezing in your session at such short notice!

recent session (sort of) - expecting couple

an impromptu shoot in Central Park last sunday. i met up with my cousin and his wife (who is 6 months pregnant...yay!) after my family shoot at the fountain and took a few pics of them since they were sort of coordinately dressed. lets call it practice for me and there's nothing better than willing and fun subjects to test some shots with.

snacktime for a photographer...ask any client and they know that i usually arrive carrying a cup of coffee. i dont have much time to eat a proper breakfast in the mornings since my shoots are usually held mid-mornings or right around the lunch hour.



i just recently discovered these and i love it!!! my favorite is apple cinnamon crisps that taste like crunchy apple pie. the best part is its only 100 calories per packet...130 less than starbucks madeleines!



im pretty psyched for the weekend bec ill be watching dark knight on IMAX (finally!), seeing HS friends two nights in a row, a shoot in Central Park on sunday and maybe dropping in to see a friend play in the Village. gah!

recent session - 8 month old twins

a sunday session in New York with the most adorable little twin girls ive seen. two very different personalities but i was able to get some wonderful shots of them and the family as well.

weekends - various New Jersey counties, Manhattan, Upstate & West Chester areas

if you live outside my service areas, we can always meet somewhere else. check out my location suggestions here.

please note travel beyond 60 miles roundtrip from 07034 will incur an additional travel fee. i do not service Long Island, its just too far :(

however, did i mention "have ticket, will travel" :)

random

i usually have a current obsession about certain things in pop culture that i wanted to share a list with all of you (before i lose the bug). i hope to be able to do this on a regular basis to make things more interesting:

1. flight of the conchords - really really funny hbo tv series about a musical duo from new zealand trying to make it in the big apple. season 1 available on dvd or netflix :)



2. starbucks madeleines - eversince they closed down the cafeteria downstairs where i work, i have to make the extra trek a couple of blocks away every morning to get my daily coffee fix. i loovveee the madeleines...they're light as air, "extremely dippable" and delicious!!!



3. facebook - i love the green patch and hatching eggs application (still waiting for a russette terrier *hint hint). too cute!



4. the dark knight - forget the movie and how good it is...and the rumours (theyre not true!!!) i just have 2 words -> christian bale...'nuf said!

recent session - family of 3 + a cousin

sooo many great photos from their session that i didnt know which ones to blog so here's several and more than what i usually post.

a 2-hour session in NYC on a lovely sunday morning. i was anticipating this shoot which had been postponed for a couple of weeks bec the little guy had scraped his chin so we waited til it healed.

a little cutie and a delightful family! thanks you so much for putting your faith in me. i can't wait to show you the rest of your proofs that even im very happy with considering how critical i am of my own work :)

4th of July BBQ with the kiddies

it was so much fun hanging out with my cousin and her family in California for the 4th of July. they had a bbq in their backyard with lots of good food (hello PORTOS cheese rolls!!!) and a great view of the fireworks from a nearby high school.

my extremely talented cousins!

just a quick post before i leave for California. my cousins made a video from scratch to honor my lola's (grandma in Tagalog) 85th(!) birthday. it is unbelievably brilliant and funny at the same time.

i am proud to have such talented people in my family and i hope to see them perform the song LIVE when i visit them this wkend :-)

hello and i hope everyone had a lovely weekend. i have finished proofing my most recent session and let me tell you all how excited i get everytime i shoot an email out to the parents letting them know their proofing gallery is online!

anyways, just a quick fyi i will be out of town from July 3-8...yay! i'll be in california visiting with relatives and i can't wait! i havent been to the west coast in 7 years(!) and im sooo looking forward to not just seeing my loved ones but getting to eat at all those places ive missed...a trip to Goldilocks for their delicious banana bread is on top of my to-do list :)

oh and im happy to say that www.photo-JENN-ic.com is mine yay!

ill try to check my emails when im away.

recent session - 6 month old

my first weekday session for the season which was held in Brooklyn. a 6 month old beauty who is a cousin of a previous client who also had the most stunning eyes and lashes. i couldnt get enough of this little princess that i decided to post a few of their photos before i turn in for the night. ive been losing a lot of sleep lately but wanted to keep my posts going. it will be a very busy couple of weeks since ill be out in California for the 4th of July weekend...yay!

recent session - family of 4

a special Father's Day shoot because it's mom's gift to dad and i was honored they chose me. i had lots of fun with them and the children were as usual just beautiful!

on a more serious note, let me just say how humbled i am to receive emails from clients about how much they love their photos. it totally makes my day hearing this and i would just like to thank each and everyone of you for the generous words. it makes me love what i do all the more :)
